Most Humane Design events sell out, so we ask you to commit when you buy. That said, life happens. Here’s how we handle refunds.
Standard window
- More than 7 days before the event: full refund on request, minus payment processing fees (typically 2.9% + $0.30).
- Within 7 days of the event:we’re generally unable to refund. By then, we’ve booked musicians, facilitators, venue, and catering against your seat. We’ll try to help you transfer your ticket to a friend.
- Within 24 hours of the event: no refunds. Tickets are non-transferable at this point.
If we cancel or postpone
If Humane Design cancels an event, you get a full refund automatically. No request needed. If we postpone, your ticket carries forward to the rescheduled date. If the new date doesn’t work for you, email us within 14 days of the announcement for a full refund.
Weather, venue, force majeure
Outdoor events (Wave, Laguna Sunset Sessions, etc.) sometimes get weathered out. If we cancel because of weather or any cause beyond our control, the cancellation rules above apply. We’ll always try to reschedule before refunding.
If you can’t attend
- You can transfer your ticket to a friend up to 24 hours before the event by emailing us with their name and email.
- You can also let us know you’re not coming so we can release the seat. We can’t refund inside the 7-day window, but we appreciate the heads-up and may be able to credit you toward a future event.
If we ask you to leave
If a facilitator asks you to leave during an event because your conduct compromised the safety or experience of others (see our Terms of Service), no refund is owed.
How to request a refund
Email humanedesignglobal@gmail.com with the subject “Refund request” and the email or order number you used at checkout. We respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds appear on your card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Disputes
If something feels off, email us first. Most issues resolve in a message or two. We’re a small team, we’ll respond quickly, and we’d rather make it right than have you file a chargeback. Disputed chargebacks may forfeit eligibility for future events.
